Kylie Hammond Career Coaching Kick Off Questionnaire

Board Members and Executive Coaching Client Engagement Framework

Setting the Foundations for Strategic Impact

Prepared by Kylie Hammond, CEO & Founder, Tiger Boards

As experienced Chairs and Non-Executive Directors, your time is valuable, your reputation is earned, and your goals are ambitious. The program is designed to support your next chapter through strategic counsel, market intelligence, and curated opportunities.

To ensure we maximise the value of this engagement, it's important we establish a shared understanding of how we work best together. This document outlines the core principles, mutual expectations, and mechanisms that underpin a successful partnership.

1. Purpose of the Engagement
This is a bespoke advisory and coaching engagement designed to support the advancement of your board portfolio and strategic career objectives. Our work together focuses on:
    • Positioning your board candidacy for optimal visibility
    • Mapping high-value board opportunities (advertised and unadvertised)
    • Leveraging curated introductions and private referrals
    • Refining your value proposition to align with market needs
    • Ensuring strategic alignment between your aspirations and board roles pursued

This is not a placement service nor a transactional arrangement. It is a strategic collaboration grounded in high-level positioning and market execution.

2. Strategic Use of the Board Opportunities Portal
As part of this engagement, you are provided access to the Huntr Board Opportunities Portal, a live intelligence tool that aggregates curated board roles, allows you to build your own target list, and enables real-time tracking of your portfolio strategy.

You are expected to:
    • View the short onboarding video to ensure full understanding of the platform
    • Log in regularly to review new opportunities and track your portfolio progress
    • Maintain a living pipeline of organisations, board roles, and strategic targets
    • Use the portal to log activity and prepare for our sessions

Why this matters:
The portal enables more agile, data-driven strategy reviews. It enhances visibility, improves follow-through, and allows us to be responsive to shifts in the market or your positioning.

3. Forward Planning of Strategic Advisory Sessions
All sessions are delivered personally by Kylie Hammond and should be treated as strategic advisory meetings. As such, they require forward planning and consistency to be effective.

You are expected to:
    • Take responsibility for forward-booking your sessions using the scheduling link provided
    • Secure regular anchor appointments (monthly or bi-monthly is typical)
    • Provide timely notice if a session needs to be rescheduled
    • Avoid last-minute bookings to ensure continuity and availability

Why this matters:
Regular strategy sessions are the cornerstone of momentum. Gaps in scheduling often lead to lost ground and missed opportunities.

4. Preparation and Accountability
Our most effective engagements are those where clients come prepared to actively lead their portfolio strategy.

You are expected to:
    • Arrive at each session with a clear agenda, informed by your activity in the portal
    • Bring forward specific roles, companies, or individuals you wish to explore
    • Provide updates on actions taken since the previous session
    • Table requests for feedback, introductions, or insight as appropriate

Why this matters:
Strategic coaching at this level is outcome-oriented. Each session should advance your portfolio efforts, whether through progress, clarity, or new strategic direction.

5. Approach to Market and Role Applications
Your reputation is your currency. How you approach roles and opportunities reflects not only on you, but on our broader network. We encourage a refined, strategic approach to market engagement.

We provide:
    • Feedback and refinement of board CVs, expressions of interest, cover letters, and selection criteria responses
    • Support in identifying and approaching key decision-makers
    • Insights into market timing, positioning, and messaging

You are expected to:
    • Avoid applying to roles without first considering the appropriate strategy, timing, and approach
    • Where possible, table intended applications in session to allow for review and strategic input
    • Engage in considered targeting—not scattergun applications

Why this matters:
This is not about volume. It's about precision, positioning, and leveraging existing influence in the right way at the right time.

6. Introductions and Network Activation
We take a measured, high-integrity approach to introductions. Every referral is carefully considered and designed to enhance mutual value.

Introductions will be made:
    • When there is clear alignment in timing, purpose, and potential value
    • After mutual discussion and strategic planning of the approach
    • With supporting collateral (e.g. positioning statement or tailored note) prepared in advance

You are expected to:
    • Clearly articulate your value proposition for each introduction
    • Prepare appropriately, demonstrating respect for the recipient's time and interests
    • Follow through professionally on introductions made

Why this matters:
Introductions are relationship equity. They must be deployed with discernment and care.

7. Professional Conduct and Mutual Expectations
Our relationship is built on trust, respect, and shared commitment to excellence. The coaching and advisory dynamic is most productive when both parties are fully engaged and committed to the process.

Professional standards include:
    • Timely communication and follow-up
    • Respect for session structure and focus
    • Willingness to engage in transparent, constructive discussion
    • Clear, direct dialogue in the spirit of achieving shared goals

In the rare event that the engagement is not meeting expectations on either side, we will address this directly and constructively.

8. Confidentiality and Discretion
All discussions, materials, and introductions are treated in strict confidence. We request the same from our clients. Discretion and integrity are paramount.

9. Acknowledgement of Strategic Engagement
Please confirm your understanding of this framework and your commitment to actively participating in this strategic engagement. We look forward to partnering with you to advance your board portfolio.
