Who are your referees?

Do you have a fan club that will speak highly of you and recommends you for new opportunities? It is a critical part of career management to foster quality testimonials and referees who can play an essential role in securing new employment. Many candidates have no testimonials on their LinkedIn profiles. This, in my opinion, is a significant warning sign. As a headhunter, I am always very concerned when someone who has worked for 20 years in corporate can’t rustle up a few good referees or testimonials about their work. If you don’t have testimonials today, ask for them and gather at least 5-10 quality comments that can be showcased on your LinkedIn profile and professional resume.
